Weeks Marine, Inc.

Founded by Francis and Richard B. Weeks, the company began unloading coal at New York docks with two floating cranes and rapidly grew its maritime expertise.

Over decades it expanded services—wreck removal, navigational aids installation, dredging, marine construction—and built one of North America’s largest floating fleets.

Now a standalone subsidiary of Kiewit (since January 2023), it leverages deep equipment resources and legacy partnerships dating back to the 1960s.

Typical projects span coastal protection, port infrastructure, tunnels (e.g., Spadina Subway, Euclid Tunnel), and heavy

lift salvage of aircraft and vessels.

With divisions in construction, dredging, tunneling, aggregates and marine services, it delivers turnkey solutions using cranes, dredges, barges, tugs and custom yards.

Standout feats include recovering the downed US Airways Flight 1549 hull.
